I'm open minded on Tarriffs - at the end of the day China, India and other eastern countries have used low regulation and immoral working practices to supply cheap labour and produce cheap products which has put western employers out of business. This has been going on for many years and many jobs have been lost in the west. It's like the east wants to have their cake and eat it.
