RE: Animal Extinction: The last male northern white rhino is gone.
Please consider making a minor correction, it was not a male white rhino, but a male NORTHERN white rhino. I know it may not seem like a big difference, but there is. There are essentially (or were) 2 rhino species in Africa with subspecies. West African Black Rhino (sub species), Southern Black Rhino, Northern White Rhino and Southern White Rhino (subspecies). The West African Black are feared extinct and the last male Northern White Rhino has passed away. The Southern Black and White Rhino still exist, but are under major threat caused by poaching.

There are also in the rest of the world Indian Rhinoceros,Javan Rhinoceros and the Sumatran Rhinoceros.
