THE GENESIS OF DRUG ADDICTION

Perhaps it would be a good idea to state specifically the types of drugs that I am about to blog on its basis of addiction. We have drugs that are tip-top or horrible, depending on the cause of taking it and the manner it is taken. Drugs such as the chloroquine and other antibiotics are very suitable for curing severe illnesses. But drugs that induce physical dependence and psychological dependence will be discussed here. These drugs are harmful to people because it affects the health of the person involved.

During the touring of different locations in my country, I have encountered distinct set of people taking in these addictive drugs. These drugs consists of those that are commonly used and those that are rarely used because of its high cost and availability, as well as, the laws of a particular nation on the item. These drugs include Marijuana which is also known as Hemp, Amphetamine (Benzedrine), Glue-sniffing, Lysergic Acid Diethylamide, Barbiturates, Morphine, Pethidine, Cocaine, Heroine, etc. Some of these drugs have more critical ill-effects than others, but it has been discovered that after prolonged intake of these substances, each one of them can result in mental and physical damage.

I can't say that one of these drugs in review is not detrimental, all are harmful. It is because of these side effects on the mind, which are only transitory at first but become permanent with continued use, that the term psychotomimetic is given to them. If you think your friend is taking any of them, he or she needs help urgently. Is his/her personality changing? Is his/her speech often slurred? Does he disappear now and then from the company? These are some of the danger signals.

At this juncture, I have to present about six (6) ways that promote the intake of hard drugs which in turn pave the way for beginning of drug addiction or dependency. These ways are listed and explained below.

GIFTS TO CHILDREN
The students are always victims of this particular way of getting addicted to drugs. Drug-pushers often offers sweets or cigarettes containing addictive drugs to small school children so that later they may grow to become addicted and have to buy drugs. These guys in the drug business have seen that the trade is profitable, and they are implementing different tactics to drive more customers to their business. These guys apply this strategy to brainwashed the children and lure them into full-time consumption of drugs.

INQUISITIVENESS
A high rate of curiosity is always observed amongst the youth. This inquisitiveness may also lead to drug addiction. Young people are overly interested in new discoveries. They may want to discover for themselves what is the action of the drug. Hence, they start taking these drugs occasionally.

Most times, the children are allowed to go on a tour on their own, and when they meet a group of people taking these addictive drugs, they become overly interested in it. They enrolled themselves in the cabal and devote their time to meetings that only involve taking of drugs.

PEER PRESSURE

The young people often behave as a lost ball in the high weeds. They don't believe in what they can do. They are submissive to the crowd. Hence, young people like to follow the public and not be different. Some schools are known for having many groups of students noted for the prevalence of hemp-taking.

FUN
Drug addiction begins when people start seeing intake of drugs as dreamy feeling. This gives rise to taking drugs for fun just to enjoy that dreamy feeling.

COURAGEOUSNESS
Every young person needs courage to perform a certain task. Addiction shows itself when they seek for the easiest way of getting courage to do difficult things, even robberies. But they don't get courage, they are just numbed and don't grasp the danger or care about the result. Drugs prepare criminals psychologically for crime, making them crimeprone. Criminals in many countries have adopted the use of Marijuana or Hemp as motivational factor for their actions.

LIFE
This world consists of different life problems. Most people have encountered one or two or more of these life problems. Finally, victims of these puzzling circumstances choose to take drugs because they cannot face up to life problems or accept their own limitations. This result to drug addiction.

In conclusion, drugs addiction don't just exist. There are various factors that leads to the existence of drug addiction in human beings. These factors include the offering of drugs free-of-charge to children by Drug-pushers, curiosity, peer pressure, fun, courageousness, life encounters, weight reduction, etc. With proper monitoring of the young people, the rate of drug addiction may be reduced in the future.
