Hi! I'm here to blog about biology and women in science!
I'm not sure how to begin this post, so I will just start with: Welcome!
I'm Ellen Elliott, a current postdoctoral scientist with a passion for writing about women in STEM. Particularly, I have written a good deal about women in biology and medical research.
I enjoy writing about scientific concepts as well, such as epigenetics, stem cells, immunology, cancer, and developmental biology. In the lab, I work on mechanisms regulating mouse T helper cell differentiation and function. I also have substantial experience in researching intestinal development, cancer, and microbiology. In fact, my thesis work was on the function of DNA methyltransferase enzymes in intestinal development and cancer. As part of my project, I isolated the intestinal epithelium from adult and newborn mice, and grew them into "mini-gut" oragnoid cultures, like this!

If you happen upon this, and there is some aspect of biology or medicine you'd like to learn more about, let me know! I love research.
Welcome to Steem :)
Definitely check out the #science and the #health section and use those tags - Great posts are often rewarded big there. Also check out @sco, he has an awesome science-blog!

Thank you so much! Yes, I will use those tags in the future, it's definitely going to take me a bit to get up to speed. I appreciate you pointing out which tags to use :)
Nice to meet a fellow scientist! Good luck on your blogs, I will be interested to see more or your content!
Nice to meet you too! Great username btw :)
