From Ordinary to Vibrant: A Leaf Through My Lens

There’s something fascinating about how a simple object can transform completely with just a little creativity.
Today, I’m posting a series of shots I took of a single leaf captured from different angles and perspectives using my iPhone 14.
What makes this post special is the before and after journey.
The faded images represent the raw photos I took directly with my phone, they are untouched, natural, and real while the green-toned images, on the other hand, are my edited versions, where I enhanced the color, mood, and life of the leaf.
Editing Approach
For the edited versions, I didn’t just randomly adjust settings. I intentionally tweaked specific values to achieve this vibrant look:
• Exposure: 0 → -11
• Brilliance: 0 → -21
• Highlights: 0 → -85
• Shadows: 0 → 40
• Contrast: 0 → 61
• Brightness: 0 → -41
• Black Point: 0 → 8
• Saturation: 0 → 53
• Vibrancy: 0 → 69
• Warmth: 0 → -50
• Tint: 0 → 30
• Sharpness: 0 → 44
• Definition: 0 → 20
• Noise Reduction: 0 → 0
• Vignette: 0 → 100
These adjustments helped bring out deeper greens, stronger contrast, and a more dramatic feel overall.

And with what happened here I can boldly say sometimes, all it takes is a shift in perspective to turn something ordinary into something extraordinary.
