Diary Game: A Day in the Life of a College Student
As a student, every morning when I wake up, I try to convince myself that today can be easier than yesterday.
But the truth is, university life can't be measured
by the number of hours, but by the weight of the responsibilities we carry with us wherever we go.
I open my eyes to the sound of my alarm, not because I've had enough sleep, but because I have lectures I can't miss.
I get ready hurriedly, my mind racing with a long list of thoughts:
Lectures, assignments, an uncertain future, and ambitions that far exceed my available time.
On my way to university, I observe the faces of the students around me.
Each one carries an untold story.
A smile that hides worry, or a silence that conceals weariness.
We laugh sometimes, we exchange jokes, but inside each of us is a battle that no one can see.
The lectures pass one after another,
between intermittent concentration and attempts to understand and absorb,
and a question echoes within me:
Can this exhaustion bear fruit someday?
During breaks, the conversation isn't just about studying,
but about our lives, the high cost of living, postponed dreams,
simple desires for a more stable life.
As the day ends, I return home exhausted,
but despite this fatigue, a small feeling lingers:
"I'm still trying..."
And that the attempt itself is a form of success.
My day might not seem special to some,
but for me, it's another step on a long and arduous path,
a path forged with patience and the belief that every hardship has a beautiful end,
and that every diligent student will have a day to smile as they recall the days they've endured.
This is my life as a university student,
simple, very tiring, yet filled with hope and optimism
in God Almighty.
