SC-S29/W4- Nostalgia Of The Liitle Me : People Who Shaped My Childhood
Who is the person (or people) that shaped your childhood the most? |
|---|
The people who shaped my childhood the most are my parents father and mother. My mother did a lot of work in my life which taught me most of the things that I need to know and be doing right as a woman. My dad provides me with things that I need to send me to the best school, provides for me as a father, and always ensures I become great in life even till date he is still providing for me
Both of them make sure they teach me how to respect my elderly one's and not insulting them .they told us that if an elderly one's speak to us or advice us we should not talk back or complain about it because is a sign of insults.
What is your earliest or most memorable memory of this person? |
|---|
My earliest memory is with my dad which was the day of my graduation ceremony held at Queen of apostles seminary Afaha obong .
During that day of my graduation it was a joyful day to celebrate because isn't easy throughout the six years when we use to wake up every morning by 5am take our bath with only 20munite go to chapel for prayers from chapel to morning function where we sweep clean the environment.
So it was a joyful day to graduate from there after the struggle that is why my parents put in effort to celebrate me that day in a very big way because they knew it wasn't easy for someone to survive in a boarding school for six good years
How did this person guide, support, or discipline you during childhood? |
|---|
My parents were my guiding star they supported me through every hurdle and discipline when I needed to learn right from wrong.
Also when I did something bad they do always correct me by beating me and telling me the right thing after beating me. My parents have also supported me financially by training me in school from nursery one till my primary six.
The school they sent me was a catholic school named Holy child international nursery and primary school ikot ekpene where teaching and learning was not taking for granted and the school also shape me Well through the support of my parents.
My parents have also supported me in my Christian life by always making me be in church before time to say the rosary and sweep the altar and this have stick into my blood until today I don't think I can go to church late because my parents have supported my Christian life for the my better future of tomorrow.
What values, habits, or lessons did you learn from them? |
|---|
It is from my parents that I learned the value of contentment and satisfaction with what I have. My parents once said no matter how things are I should avoid envy of someone who might have more than me and contented with what I have I shouldn't have a bad mindset about someone who has more than me rather I learnt from them that I should strife and work harder for the future of tomorrow.
I also learnt From them how to treat people in the society Wel and give them respect that no matter what happens I should not insult my elderly person in the society I should rather ignore them even when they Are right or wrong.
Lastly I learnt from my mother how to cook food like rice soups I also learnt how to fry garri and so many things which have made me better now and I can do all those things I learnt from her so well.
How does their influence still reflect in your life today? |
|---|
My parents'' influence still reflects in my life today. I try to approach each person that comes my way with empathy and patience, just as my parents did.
I carry the lessons of my parents about kindness, and perseverance into my relationships and daily routines. The guidance of my parents has shaped me into someone who believes that small acts of love and understanding can make a big difference.
Also imit has influenced me to follow the right part and from there have gained more knowledge and understanding which I am proud and have changed my life today for the better of the society
