The place I will share is the main bus stand, or Notun Bazar, in Nandail Upazila, Mymensingh District, Bangladesh. It is a very important point from a geographical and strategic perspective. Basically, this bus stand is located on the Mymensingh to Kishoreganj highway, which serves as the main road communication center for the entire region.

This is not only an upazila-based bus stand, but it also has a direct connection with the Mymensingh district headquarters, Kishoreganj, Bhairab, Dhaka, and other major commercial cities.

Nandail Bus Stand can be called the heart of our area. Because every day, from employees, students, to ordinary businessmen, everyone starts their day centered around this bus stand.
Thousands of people travel from here every day by bus, CNG, or battery-powered auto-rickshaw. Especially students take buses from here to their schools or colleges. A huge crowd of people can be seen here from the morning.

Since the bus stand is directly connected to two big districts, like Mymensingh and Kishoreganj districts, the road is also very convenient for traders. Because traders' products can be easily brought and taken through the transport system. For this reason, many shops can be seen on the side of the road. Since the road is a highway, thousands of vehicles constantly pass through here and reach their specific destinations. The road is busiest from morning to midnight. However, this road is not very busy at night.
What kinds of activities or people can usually be seen there? |

Since the road is the main route of Nandail Upazila, most people can travel from one village to another here. However, most fruit sellers can be seen in the place. Various types of shops are arranged here on both sides of the road. The fruit shops are placed in series. There are also several fruit stalls here, in particular. Moreover, the Jilapi at Nandail Bus Stand is loved by everyone. Here you will see the most traffic from the village elders to school and college students. And these scenes are the main scenes here!
How does this place reflect the culture or lifestyle of your area? |

| People are waiting for a battery-powered rickshaw |
I feel that the place is closely related to our culture. Here lies the blend of our authentic rural and semi-urban culture. The lifestyle of the people here is both dynamic and very simple. The place reminds us of some sweet memories. When we went to college together as friends, we would sometimes sit at the crossroads for tea. Good friendships were formed in the shops on the side of the road. Whenever we meet here, people exchange greetings, and it is like a wonderful blend of cultures. People from different professions live around the place, but you can see a unity of spirit among them. The place has created a wonderful atmosphere for everyone.

The frames captured by my camera mainly tell the story of busyness, the struggle of life without routine, and a piece of familiar emotion. Even if the sky is a little cloudy or calm, the pulse of life does not stop on the muddy road below. People are in such a hurry to reach their destinations in the pursuit of a livelihood. The call of the helper standing at the bus door, the sound of a battery-powered rickshaw, the call of the driver at the CNG station to pick up passengers, the waiting eyes of the seller at the roadside fruit shop - all these are like a living reflection of the eternal Bangladesh we know, which awakens a strange feeling of belonging in our mind.
Personal Report
 |
| Myself |
I have many memories associated with the Nandail bus stand. At one time, this bus stand was called New Bus Stand. Currently, the name of the bus stand is Old Bus Stand. The bus stand is one of the busiest places in our upazila. Many people can be seen coming and going constantly. The bus stand directly connects our two neighboring districts. Due to which we have developed cordial relations with the people of the two districts.
