Week4- SC-S29/W4.- Nostalgia Of The Liitle Me : People Who Shaped My Childhood
Who is the person (or people) that shaped your childhood the most?
The people who shaped my childhood the most are my parents father and mother. My mother did a lot of work in my life which taught me most of the things that I need to know and be doing right as a woman. My dad provides me with things that I need to send me to the best school, provides for me as a father, and always ensures I become great in life even till date he is still providing for me.
What is your earliest or most memorable memory with this person?
My earliest memory is with my dad which was the day of my birthday celebration. On my birthday day I was treated like a queen and my dad took me to the best place in the town where he bought me gifts.
Although I felt the absence of my mother because death took her away from my loved ones and me. Due to how my dad celebrated my birthday I always ensure that I am there to celebrate with him on his own birthday.
How did this person guide, support, or discipline you during childhood?
My parents were my guiding star they supported me through every hurdle and discipline when I needed to learn right from wrong.
When I was afraid to try something new, my parents especially my dad would hold my hand and say to me, "The only way to grow is to step outside your comfort zone". Whenever I made a mistake, my parents would patiently explain that errors were just part of learning, and they would always remind me to be honest and kind.
What values, habits, or lessons did you learn from them?
It is from my parents that I learned the value of patience and compassion. My parents taught me that a kind word can brighten someone's day, and that listening is just as important as speaking. My dad instilled in me a strong work ethic whether it was helping him at his place of work or in the house and he showed me how to be grateful for little things.
How does their influence still reflect in your life today?
My parents'' influence still reflects in my life today. I try to approach each person that comes my way with empathy and patience, just as my parents did.
I carry the lessons of my parents about kindness, and perseverance into my relationships and daily routines. The guidance of my parents has shaped me into someone who believes that small acts of love and understanding can make a big difference.

Greetings,
Thank you so much for participating in the contest.
You have clearly highlighted the influence of parents in childhood, where mother's education and father's sense of responsibility played an important role in shaping the foundation of life. The emotion of mother's absence is heartbreaking, expressing the mixed feelings of childhood joy and sorrow. The issue of character building through guidance, courage and discipline is highlighted.
This line was amazing, "The only way to grow is to step outside your comfort zone". , It beautifully presents how values like compassion, gratitude and perseverance are influencing life today.
