What is the real price of life? A strange afternoon story at a tea shop!
Hello friends! How are you all? I hope you are all doing very well.
Today, I thought I would go a little outside the regular topic and share a different story with you. Believe me, today's story is not just a story; it may be a reflection of many of our lives. Without further ado, let's get to the point.

About last week. For a few days in a row, none of my work was going well. Some kind of disappointment was working inside me. It seemed that I might not be worthy of anything. Feeling down, I went to the local corner shop in the afternoon and had tea.
At that moment, an elderly man came and sat next to me. His face was very calm, and he was wearing simple clothes. He took a cup of red tea for himself. Looking at me, he suddenly asked, "What, Father, are you in a bad mood? Looking at your face, it seems that the whole burden of the world is on your shoulders!"
I smiled a little and said, "Nothing like that, uncle. Sometimes I feel like I haven't done anything in my life. No one values my work."
The old man smiled. Taking a sip of his tea, he took out a round stone wrapped in an old cloth from his pocket. The stone looked very ordinary, like a stone lying on the side of the road, only a little shiny.
He handed me the stone and said, "The solution to your problem is right here with this stone. Do one thing, take this stone and go to the vegetable market in front. Just ask how much it costs. But remember, don't sell it."
I was a little surprised. I thought, " Is the man crazy? Still, I couldn't control my curiosity and went to the vegetable market with the stone. I showed the stone to a potato seller and said, "Brother, will you buy this? How much will you pay?"
He shook the stone and looked at it contemptuously and said, "What will I do with this? I can give you at most 10 taka, it will be used to hold the papers in my shop."
I took the stone back to my uncle. After explaining everything to him, he said, "Now take this stone and go to that gold shop a little further away. You will only ask for the price; you will not sell it."

I now went to a familiar jewellery shop. The gold shopkeeper took the stone in his hand, and his eyes widened. He examined it carefully with his magnifying glass and said, "Brother, where did you get this rare ruby stone? I am ready to pay you one lakh taka for it right now!"
I was completely stunned! One lakh taka! I somehow ran back to that tea shop with the stone.
The old man looked at me and smiled and said, "Do you understand anything, father?"
I shook my head. He put his hand on my shoulder and said, "Our life is just like this stone. You have your own value. But if you judge yourself by people who don't understand your true value, they will evaluate you like that vegetable seller for 10 rupees. And you will think, maybe you have no worth."
Hearing these words, I felt like someone had removed a veil from my eyes!
Uncle said again, "The right people, the right place and the right time will determine your true value. So don't get disappointed by proving yourself in the wrong place. Believe in yourself and keep polishing yourself. One day, the right jeweller will recognise you."
Friends, after that old man left that day, I sat silent for a long time. How many times do we make this mistake in life, right? We judge our worth by the words of others and get disappointed. But we may be precious stones, just lying in the wrong place!
There is only one reason to share this story with you today—if any of you are currently suffering from depression, remember that you are priceless. Just waiting to find your right place.
How did you like the story? Have you ever felt in your life that people are not evaluating you properly? Don't forget to share your opinions in the comments. I always love reading your comments.
That's all for today. Everyone, stay well, stay healthy, and believe in yourself.
