SLC-S32/W1 | Frames of My World : Streets Around Me.

Assalamu Alaikum How are you all? I hope everyone is well. Today I am going to participate in the SLC-S32/W1 "Frames of My World: Streets Around Me" competition organized by the Story On Steem community. Through this competition, I will present to you the beauty of a familiar street in my village and the story of daily life associated with it.I took today's photographs on a rural road next to the area adjacent to the Women's Degree College next to our house in Badarganj Upazila of Rangpur district. This road is one of the main means of daily transportation for the people of our village. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this quiet road is surrounded by the beautiful beauty of nature. The vast green paddy fields around, rows of trees on both sides of the road, and the open sky make this place extraordinarily beautiful.

Where is this street or place located?

This road is located a little away from our house in a quiet and picturesque rural environment. It is one of the main connecting roads of our village. It connects various neighborhoods, farmlands and local markets. The green trees on both sides of the road, vast crop fields and natural environment make this place very attractive. Located far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, this road is a reflection of a beautiful environment developed in close proximity to nature. Local people commute here every day and this road has become an important part of their daily life. The beauty of this road is especially evident in the morning and afternoon. When the softness of nature around brings a different kind of tranquility.

What makes this street or area important in the daily life of local people?

This road is deeply involved in the daily lives of the local people and is a very important means of transportation for them. The people of the village use this road every day to travel to schools, colleges, markets, mosques, hospitals and various workplaces. This road is even more important for the farmers, because they take their paddy, vegetables and other agricultural products to the local market through this road. We have land here. My grandfather, father and uncles use this road together. The students of my women's college use this road to go to and from college every morning. And the view of this road is beautiful when returning home in the afternoon. I sometimes walk around that road with my cousins in the afternoon. Also, the common people of the village use this road to go to Badarganj market for medical treatment, shopping or social work. This is not just a transportation road. Rather, it is an essential part of the life cycle of the people of the village. It can be said that without this road, the normal life of the local people would have been disrupted to a large extent.

What kinds of activities or people can usually be seen there?

This road is a place where people and activities of all kinds are seen every day. It portrays the real picture of rural life. In the morning, farmers are seen going to the fields, some on bicycles, some on motorcycles or on foot. Students wear school uniforms and go to school on this road in groups. Sometimes local shopkeepers, small traders and pedestrians are also seen moving. In the afternoon, the elderly people of the village are seen walking and many children are playing around the road. In addition, motorcycles, vans, auto-rickshaws or small vehicles carrying agricultural products are also seen. Together, every moment of the road is like a living story, where each person is busy with their own work and purpose.

How does this place reflect the culture or lifestyle of your area?

This road is a true reflection of the culture, tradition and lifestyle of the common people of our area. Most of the people of our area live an agricultural life and the green fields on both sides of this road bear the identity of that agricultural culture. The people here are simple, hardworking and accustomed to living a life dependent on nature. Walking along the road, one can clearly feel the sincerity, neighborly relations and the mentality of cooperation of the village people towards each other. This road is not only a means of transportation, but it is also the bearer and carrier of our rural culture. Although there is an influence of modernity here, the imprint of the traditional lifestyle is still clearly present. Therefore, this place is a bright reflection of the calm, simple and nature-dependent lifestyle of our area.

What story or feeling do you think this place expresses through your photographs?

The photographs I take mainly reveal stories of peace, simplicity and the deep connection between people and nature. Each scene in these photographs seems to portray a silent yet meaningful chapter of village life. Looking at the photographs, it seems that time flows slowly here and people live their lives in harmony with the rhythm of nature. The silence of this road, the surrounding greenery and the open sky create a kind of feeling of mental peace. Personally, this place carries many memories of my childhood. Going to school, walking with friends, enjoying the beauty of nature in the afternoon. Everything seems to come alive in these photographs. For me, these photographs are not just a street photograph. Rather, they symbolize memories, emotions, love and a feeling of being connected to one's roots.
