Normally I would leave a comment about how gripping and well written this is, because it really is, but my word, I am hooked, this is so well told, it doesn't feel like a story, but like someone recounting events to me, it is enthralling, if you continue this story, please tag me in the bananafish realms so I don't miss it, I was so gutted when I ended, I have to know more, did Sophie find out more? There is the obvious implication of what happened to Laura but by telling it through Sophies eyes, it becomes a story about something else. It's the line towards the end, about not approaching her for a long time, suggesting she has between then and the telling of this story. It very much makes me wonder what happened that Sophie went back, what she took away from whatever happened when she did and how that shaped her. Just beautifully done, as much as I want to know more, there's a lot to be said for the wondering. Congrats on an exceptionally well deserved curie <3
