Gravitating into one Noisy Lump
Like one large crystal being molded by its pieces they all gathered on their way to the concert. Lee and John, the first to make their way to the attraction were soon followed by friends. Andrew, popping out the side of the dorm dropped into sync with the two foreigners. "Cigarette" - offered Lee, but only John accepted. Andrew never felt any affection for the tobacco plant, but his tolerance far exceeded that of most people on that school's campus. He had been in his room in isolation for a week so it was time for him to empty his newfound thoughts.
"Ooh man! Look at all these people crawling out of their little holes. Time to leave that little submarine of a dormitory and let out some juice!"
John offered him a crooked smile matched with glinted eyes. He understood the reference to Juicy J, one of the performers of the event, unlike Lee. Although the cultural barrier had decreased since Lee's arrival at the university, it still hindered him from understanding some humor.
Free concerts are undoubtedly the largest attraction of an interesting variety of people on a college campus. Fortunately, this left everyone with more money for recreation.
From a birds perspective, it must have looked like multiple massive objects gravitating together into one large noisy lump. Even from the outskirts of the campus' central grass field you could see clouds of smoke moving their way up to diffuse in the sky. As with many things in life, the actual core of the crowd was far more appealing from the outside than the inside, which included the universally appreciated benefit of not being squashed by a drunken 220 pound hippo amidst the human mess.
