Part 30: Liberation Program

Central Federation's top security executive Cobol received the news of the action of entity rights supporters in his large office before the morning fog in the bay was dissipated. He was sure that the image of the heart over freedom square in the unique city was their virtue. He contacted the unique city managers to shut down the security holes in the sky, assuming it was easy for them. Because of the nature of the virtual world, these people, who have never engaged in serious work such as protecting the lives of people, were unable to grasp the importance of the issue, they were late to take the necessary measures. Cobol had a plan B, and he put it on the line without delay. But it turns out that the adversaries also studied very well. He predicted that the Security Council he was affiliated with would not be too concerned about what happened in the unique city, but the problem was not whether or not they cared. The world was faced with an unprecedented threat, and the action in the unique city once again demonstrated that the adversaries should be taken seriously. Like other terrorist organizations, they did not organize a brutal attack that led to the loss of life, but showed a stick under the table, and gave their fans great morale. It was, of course, a crime when it was considered within the legal framework. However, this action would not be regarded as a significant threat to the public but would be viewed as a kind of political joke. In this case, it was clear that the judicial authorities would not be too eager to punish this crime, and even if they were sentenced to any punishment, it would not hurt their adversaries. The android named Ogox has added Agent Omega to its ranks, as he had predicted, and scored a stylish goal by taking advantage of her know-how. He regretted that the attack on Omega was not made with a more crowded team. Although eliminating Ogox's physical presence did not mean destroying it. The entity called Ogox was composed of specific sets of information organized within the framework of a mind architecture. He was sure that his memory was ultimately backed up every day, that his mental scheme was stored in a safe place, and that his body was no different from the thousands of CYC models. The material existence of Ogox was not as important as the centerpiece, Ogox was formed by the combination of some powerful design ideas, and fighting concepts was the hardest thing for a security person. He's been trying to uncover the scheme of the organization Ogox had set up for months, but what he had achieved was almost nothing. Ogox was never communicating directly with the entity rights fans and was never trying to direct their activities. Everyone thought that artificial intelligence agents were completely under control after the great devastation. The public's mental capacity was not enough to comprehend the imminent danger. It was not possible to weaken rebel intelligence agents with traditional legal and administrative sanctions, which are extraordinarily far-sighted and strategic thinking. However, as the incident just happened, the next possible attempt would have been much more difficult. In this holy war, he relied on his friends, Sordo and Avima, rather than thousands of agents under his command, and supercomputer fields in the desert, spanning over hectares. They demonstrated that they were good at keeping secrets. They had strong cadres that could quickly adopt the latest technologies to solve everyday problems. They could think radically, eager to take risks, and with their skills, they managed to stay on the surface of the water all the time. These features made them ideal partners compared to the bureaucrats Cobol had to work with. The narrow-minded bureaucrats took the trivial acts of terrorism that were carried out in neighboring countries outside the central Federation, in deserts, in uninhabited forests, in the high mountains, or in the vast steppes of the less developed countries, taking advantage of the cheapening of technological toys. Despite the size of the funds allocated to security, Cobol needed financial support because he could not provide the right resource allocation. Rebel artificial intelligence agents invented a stylish package called “entity rights” to remove barriers to their agents to neutralize and disable the human race. However, when they achieve sufficient power, this discourse would include arguments such as human evolution could not keep pace required by the age, as the human-oriented economy has become one of the most significant obstacles to development. It was necessary to develop a new weapon, which would coincide with the atomic bomb. It was not possible to create such a powerful weapon from today to tomorrow, nor could it have come out of the question by chance. A comprehensive classified program of well-planned sub-projects would have to be designed and implemented.

While Cobol was about to instruct his assistant to call Avima with the urge to act as soon as he could, Dr. Kehena entered his room. Cobol showed Dr. Kehena the large chair in front of his desk to sit. In fact, his embarrassed face was telling everything; they had missed Ogox and his crew, and soon Cobol would begin to question the reasons for this.

Cobol wiped out the sweat on his broad forehead with the tattoo of the infinity sign. With his work, determination, acuity, loyalty, and responsibility, Dr. Kehena was a teammate that every manager would want to work with. In his duty as an ordinary agent, he successfully concluded his work and left dozens of security workers behind each level of the hierarchy, and became the second in the security bureaucracy. Cobol was sure that Dr. Kehena didn't have the slightest mistake. But the result was a complete delusion. The security processes were optimized so perfectly, and they were applied so consistently that opponents could play their games as they wished without any surprises.

Soon after graciously sending Dr. Kehena out of his room, he decided that he should be found in the core team that would build the liberation program. He thought that Dr. Kehena could also help him to convince Avima and Sordo about the liberation program as well as actually to execute the job. He had a habit of starting preparations for the next encounter immediately after his failures, which was the best way to reduce the pain of defeat.
