Memories of a recycler. The German

in #story7 years ago

As a recycler I sometimes get to look at some one’s life.

What I see is:

What people eat
What people drink
What hobbies people have
If they like to travel
What newspapers they read – or not
If they smoke
If they have a medical aid
Where they work
Maybe even how much they earn – but that is uninteresting to me
What bank they are with

Today, as I was going through some papers that had been brought in. I could see a lifetime going past me.

This family originated from Germany. He had studied there and graduated. They liked to travel because I found several road books of cities in Germany but also in France.

They definitely liked German Marzipan

And at one stage someone smoked cigars

They came to South Africa and worked here –

They had a medical aid and lived in Newcastle.
He either worked for Mercedes of drove one.

They must have been travelling a lot because I saw all kinds of books and roadmaps about Namibia.

Wildlife was also favorite. There were books about the Kruger National Park

And the animals

There were also books about La Lucia and other game reserves like Ithala

.

Roadmaps from Upington to Pretoria and from Durban and Cape Town.

There were information books about the Midlands Meander

And the Garden Route.

Who could ever imagined that you can find out so much about a person just by looking at their waste??

Sort:

Private detectives go through people's trash to find information on them. We experience the same thing.

LOL They bring it voluntarily. I do not force anyone. Haha

Fascinating! :)

thank you. It is amazing what you can find out about people just by looking at their waste.
