Consistency is Energy

The human mind is very adaptable. It becomes accustomed to our circumstances. This is the reason why poor people can’t get out of poverty. Scientists have proven that if a person puts on glasses through which he sees the world upside down, he will get used to it in just a couple of weeks. In two weeks, his mind will adapt to this situation, and it will become normal for him. Just imagine how quickly the mind can get used to poverty. If your mind grows accustomed to a small salary, why would it bother seeking to increase your income? The only way to change your mindset is to improve your quality of life. Even though I already said that, I’m repeating it because consistency is connected to your mind’s ability to adapt to new circumstances.

Here is another example. If you visit the gym only once, you will not gain muscle. However, if you work out for a year, you will get a six-pack. Further, if you smoke just one cigarette, you will not develop a habit. However, if you do it every day for a month, you will definitely form an addiction. Are you following me? Consistency is energy. When you do something for a long time, you can change your life. Your mind is a very powerful instrument, but you have to overcome its fear and create good habits.

I am going to give you an exercise that will expand beyond the limits your mind places on your financial goals. This exercise’s strength is consistency. When it comes to money, your imagination is limited. You’ve gotten used to a particular income and have accepted that you just can’t afford some things. This exercise will motivate you to earn more and improve your life.

The ‘Expand Your Imagination’ Exercise

As usual, you will need a sheet of paper and a pen. I recommend starting a daily planner for this purpose. Write your monthly salary. If you are currently unemployed, write the average income for your town. Write or draw something that you can buy with this money. Imagine that somebody is ready to give you this sum if you promise to spend it on yourself. You can only buy something that you have planned to get for a long time, but have held back from purchasing. Tomorrow, double this figure and write what you would spend this sum on. Do this exercise for 90 days without repeating yourself. It is unlikely that you will make it to the last day, but your imagination will expand infinitely. It is a very useful exercise. Start now, and by the time you finish, you will have changed dramatically. You will turn into a successful person who sees all of the opportunities to gain wealth.
