Happy Tuesday: My Morning Thoughts And Day Expectations!! "What Would Make Steemit Awesome To Me"

in #sweetdgoals7 years ago (edited)

Good morning all of my Steemit friends, followers, and soon to be follower's. Today I woke up and snapped a quick picture outside, while the fog was still rolling out. I thought to myself, "what would make Steemit more awesome in my perspective?"

Three months ago I started my amazing steemit account, I learned what I needed to know about bitcoin, the blockchain, and how to produce quality post and comments throughout this futuristic platform. Yet, every morning I wake up and something still seems somewhat off about being on Steemit.

What Could Possibly Seem Off?

When I started this platform, I thought it was a highly positive version of facebook. Where author's get paid, build friends, and post about stuff going on in there day-to-day lives. When I reference friends to this platform I basically describe that entire scenario to them and THEY LOVE IT.

As of late, I have noticed that the only post I can really find are centralized around bitcoin, cryptos, mining, and more. How can we actually get our best friends, homeless people, and big populations to join here if they have to learn about everything crypto? Personally, I really don't care about crypto currency. I have found a few awesome people after months of looking on here, that post about cool things going on in there lives and I roll with it.

Basically the thing that would make Steemit more awesome to me, is if it were centralized more around everybodies lives. If I could see there triumphs, families, and how they live there day to day lives. I am now headed to work, I hope everybody has an awesome Tuesday. Thankyou all for reading my blog, I hope you have a blessed day. Steem Out!!

I agree many a post is about bitcoin or crypto a few of the posts including some of yours have gotten piled on by over my head info that I had to scroll quite a bit to find what I actually was interested in checking out :/ then I got wise and figured there is a a following list and a follow list when I check my stats why not just head there find the name I'm after and boom six new posts and one nearly out of time to resteem :O that was close :D Have a good day at work sir and I love watching a fog roll in or roll out and I also like watching the appearance of the woods breathing as the fog seems to move back and fourth some :)

I have honestly been through many stages on Steemit just trying to see what works best for my profile...I have put together a list of a solid 10 people that I actually do follow day in and out! But in the world of TRENDING..it is tough to find people to connect with, because over described crypto knowledge is all I can ever find! Then there is a high abundance of people who want to say, "how to get rich" on Steemit (three people have actual great knowledge)...I think with a couple more months of posting and commenting I would like to grow my list to about 20 or 30! I just wish it was people accomplishments could be trendier..and yes, I do love it also:) Have a great day @freakygeak...love your comments as always!

Diversity makes like super interesting and I too notice many writers here changing their topics toward crypto

I also tried to change at one point in time! I just get tired of only seeing "crypto this"..."crypto that"! I respect the hell or of everybody for having all the knowledge and sharing it, but when you get 50,000 people sharing the same thing.....lol

Hi @dillonford I can see where you are coming from but I kind of think everyone needs to know about cryptocurrency. If some really don't care about making money with cryptocurrency being on steemit will probably be too complicated for them to feel comfortable here. They would probably be better on facebook. I have the same problem getting family and friends to join because they are not interested in cryptocurrency but what can you do? Thanks, following, upvoted and resteemed.

I only heard of bit coin due to a few friends on fb who live in the UK have mentioned it, when I was told about steemit here there was no mention of any type of coin base currency just that one could potentially make money from commenting as well as blogging/vlogging so it was a bit of a shock to see so many crypto outputs :) my problem now is finding somebody who I can understand (one who can dumb the info down some) and then follow.

I am in the same situation @freakygeak as this is hard for me to understand but I just keep trying to research and learn little by little.

Thankyou for your comment @sophistryproof! I will say....I have learned a lot about crypto and I think people should be aware! But for Steemit to mainstream, I would love to see more applicable for my good friends and family! I know it's not for everybody, which does make this platform very special. Loved your comment..Have a great day please!:)

Thank you, same to you.
