How would you change the tax system of your country?

I personally believe the only thing we should tax is land and remove all other forms of taxation. I believe it would serve to decrease speculation and land hoarding when dealing with a housing crisis like where I currently am in Canada. What are all your views on taxation? Taxing labour hurts labour and taxing sales hurts sales.
