We are in an era where almost everything is connected online and there is rarely any people who does not use the internet. But whenever you are coming online you always leave a digital trail of yourself it's like a giant trap that lures billions of people in every year. The trail you leave open can further be used to monitor or surveillance you.

So how do you keep your privacy safe in this digital era??
I am going to point out 5 security practices to staying safe online.

  1. Private Search Engines
When you search anything in normal search engines they log your browsing history, geo-location and preferences, and then build your personalised profile. Then these profiles are sold to third parties who wants to sell their products to you.
So make sure you use a private search engine.

  2. Cloud Services
These days most of the people store their photos and videos in Cloud but what most of you don't know that in some countries Cloud Services are tolerant to snooping by law enforcement agencies. So make sure you read the entire terms and conditions before signing up on any Cloud Services.

  3. Encrypted Mail Services
Try to avoid free email services, you should know better that when something as good as a mailing system is given for free there must be some sort of catch involved. So try to use Encrypted Mail Services.

  4. VPN
This helps you to be quite anonymous in the internet. You could be from Ireland but can check in as Iceland that's a good tool to have in your side.

  5. Password Manager
Lastly and most importantly make sure you don't save your passwords in your browser. Yes I know it's an easy choice but this also leaves you quite vulnerable. Instead use a paid password management app to save all your login details.

I hope you like these steps I pointed out.
Peace.

Thanks really awesome post..added to that : brute-force attack - These attacks work by systematically checking all possible passphrases until the correct one is found. If the hacker already has an idea of the guidelines used to create the password, this process becomes easier to execute.

Yes why should we give any of our info to them
