The concerned authorities said that the satellite has been created by France's Thalass Allenia, a company named. The company's responsibility for the construction of satellite structures, launches, land and space control systems, and the management of two stations at the ground level.

The cost of this project has been estimated at Tk. 2,967 crore There are 40 transponders in the satellite. Bangladesh will initially use 20 of these. Others will be rented. Ground Station of Satellite Bangabandhu-1 has been made in Gazipur and Rangamati. Bangladesh's first satellite Bangabandhu-1 will fly 119.9 degree Orbital slot (illiterate). Bangladesh has taken lease of Orbital slot for 15 years (119.1 degree) from Interppetnik for launching Bangabandhu-1. Allocated slots for the cost of $ 27 million. In this regard, an agreement was signed between Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) and Russia's InterSpotnik International Organization of Space Communications. According to the agreement, Bangabandhu-1 satellite will be launched in December, But due to natural calamities, it was not possible to launch. Although it is a 15-year contract with Interppetnik, the agreement will be extended to three-step 45 years. The concerned people think that the government's expenditure on this project can be taken by satellite rental in 8 years and it is possible to take this project to the profitable level.
