Google is testing a new application that unifies Gmail, Google Drive and Hangouts

Google is working on a mobile application that brings together the functions of existing services such as Gmail, Google Drive, Hangouts Meet (the video conferencing application) and Hangouts Chat (the computer messaging application).
According to The Information, the new application is being tested and has already been sent internally to the providers and business partners of the Google cloud services unit. Although it has not transcended its name, it is known that it is company-oriented and that it could be part of the G Suite service package to compete with Slack and the Microsoft 365 professional suite.
Despite the ubiquity of Gmail and Google Docs, Google has tried for years to create a stable collection of communication tools. He killed Inbox, closed Allo (a kind of WhatsApp with artificial intelligence) and divided Hangouts into two (Hangouts Meet and Hangouts Chat) just to join them again.
In addition to Gmail, Google Drive and Hangouts, the new Google application can open the calendar, but for this, users must download Google Calendar separately, according to a person who knows the company's plans.
