Okay doesn't it Look cool...................................

Graphene a wonderful allotrope of carbon, just one layer thick linked carbon, has a lot of characteristics which are beneficiary to mankind. This miraculous material, as some would call it, has been used in the production of items like helmets, light bulbs, and microphones. To our greatest surprise, it has recently found its way to footwear.

One very good quality and desirable charateristics which grephene posses, being good conductivity of heat, researchers decided to take advantage of this put graphene in the sole of footwear. They added graphene to the polyurethane that makes up the insole of shoes. The process which ITT in collaboration with Fadel used for creating the flakes, is known as liquid phase exfoliation, which produces large amount of graphenes at a relatively low price.

Apart from heat retention advantage of graphene , research also show that graphenes are stronger than steel when used during a bulletproof test, meaning that shoes made with graphenes are stronger and strechier, having stronger and more flexible kicks than traditional shoes. It not just adding value to sport shoes, but also to casuals footwear like sandals.

The Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (ITT), who teamed up with an with Italian shoe manufacturer called Fadel, produce the first ever footwear with graphene known as Freshoes. This collaboration took place last year but recently, the shoe was showcased.

The university of Manchester, leading the research of graphene, also collaborated with a British sportswear brand called Inov-8 to produce footwears with graphene, and as reports have it, this shoes will be hitting the market come 2018, priced around $200 dollar.

The university of Manchester has discussed the usefulness of graphene in wearables, but graphene is not limited to wearables only. As mentioned earlier, it has been used in the production of other items like light bulbs and microphones, and research are currently being carried out for the use of graphene in transistors and microchips, and the outcomes and progress are positive. Some researchers believe that, graphene will give birth to the new age of technology.

With graphene on board, we tech lovers are looking at the future, and what we see are faster, more efficient, smaller and better computers. Personally i believe, graphene will help out a lot when it come to "Internet of Things"(IoT), because of the ability of it to be shrinked smaller than semiconductors, and still it retains it characteristics.

Like I said at the beginning of this post, graphene has a lot of characteristics to that will be beneficiary to man, if well taken advantage of, that tech
