Green Energy Revolution in Remote Area

Despite its importance to modern societies, electricity and water scarcity persists as major issues in many developing countries and rural areas all over the world. So Cost-effective solution for independent solar applications in remote locations is needed.

If you're a regular reader, you're aware that I'm writing a series of posts on green energy. Hope you find it useful as well. So lets go back to discussion.

Introduction

Cost-effective solution of solar hybrid system with energy storage is our main article. The system can also be used as a backup power source for remote areas and Independent solar applications, where no grid connection is available.

Hybrid System with wind and hydro configuration

The proposed hybrid system consists of a new generation of 1kWp PV panel, wind turbine, and hydro generator which converts the excess electricity produced by Photovoltaic panel into the water to store it in a reservoir.

Adding additional electricity to a hydro-storage system that also serves as water storage and distribution system is accomplished through the use of a hydro-turbine generator.

The system can provide a relatively stable energy source from renewable sources that can be used as an independent power source in rural areas and grid-connected areas.

Since building materials for the proposed hybrid system are relatively inexpensive, its design can also be easily implemented in remote areas. The above hybrid system can generate 1kWp PV power when operated 24 hours per day.

The Hybrid System Integrations

The hybrid electric-hydro storage solution proposed can provide 1kW of electrical power and be suitable for independent applications, where grid connection cannot be available.

Offshore hydro plant concept

The system is easy to operate and maintain since it involves only a few parts. Therefore a new generation of PV panels, wind turbines, and hydro generators can be implemented very quickly in millions of remote areas.

The hybrid system works as a water storage system immediately after it is implemented, therefore no water distribution network needs to be added to support this particular application. This is the main advantage of this hybrid system. The main safety concerns related to this hybrid system are its ability to start automatically when the grid fails, its ability to shut down properly when the grid comes back online, as well as proper operation in case of storm conditions or high-velocity winds.

Renewable energy sources are expected to become the primary source of electricity generation in the future.

The wind turbine and hydro generator can provide a relatively stable energy source from renewable sources. This hybrid system can be an alternative solution for isolated areas or locations where traditional utility companies are unable or reluctant to deliver electricity.

The Last Words

This system will reduce the dependency on the conventional grid-connected power supply and allow people living in remote areas to have access to electrical power for lighting, communication, and other services.

@daytona475 Can you check todays post? Is it ok to post with these tags and markdown formats? I'm eager to hear what you have to say.

The curators don't need to be mentioned because the posts are routinely checked by the curators.

Oh ! I didn't know. But thanks @cryptogecko
