If you lived in the 90s, you will surely miss these things

The 1990s were full of transformations, from wars, signatures of peace agreements and technological advances.

Surely if you lived in the 1990s you will remember to have used or desired at least one or all of the tech devices shown below.

There have been a lot of innovations, and to whet your nostalgia, we've separated 13 technologies from the 1990s that will make you want to go back in time.

1 - Internet has arrived!

Yes it is not a device itself, but the World Wide Web marked the 1990s, was originally proposed in 1989, but was not launched until the early 1990s.

Tim Berners-Lee, with the help of Robert Cailliau, was able to connect hypertext to the internet and created the web we know.

Browsers such as Netscape and Mosaic have helped popularize the World Wide Web worldwide and started a huge technological revolution.

2 - Mega Drive plays SONIC until it can't take it anymore

Sega Genesis or also known as Mega Drive was technically released in the United States in 1988.

But it was only very successful in the 1990s, winning the hearts of thousands.

Surely you spent hours trying to go through some level of Sonic.

3 - Talkboy from Home Alone 2 movie

Talkboy was a portable device that lets you record anything and listen again.

This small device first appeared in the movie "Home Alone 2" shortly after a fully functional version hit the market.

Talkboy had the ability to slow down the recordings, which let's be honest is very funny.

4 - Nintendo 64

The Super Nintendo 64 was the object of desire for many children and adults in the 1990s, first released in Japan on June 23, 1996 and later in the US and Brazil on September 29 of the same year.

The console had only 2 early titles, Super Mario 64 and PilotWings and was a real hit.

Considered totally innovative at the time, the Nintendo console marked a whole generation.

5 - Tamagotchi - LoL

Tamagotchi is a toy that enables the creation of a virtual animal, was launched in 1996 and recently re-launched by Bandai in 2017.

Basically you had to take care of your “virtual pet”, feed, clean and put to sleep.

But I believe that just like us, if you had such a toy you probably let it die at least once.

6 - Game Boy Color

Game Boy Color was launched in 1998 by Nintendo, bringing several innovations, including the color screen and a huge collection of games.

One of the great advantages of the handheld console is that it has already hit the market with various gaming options.

The console was so successful that adding up the sales of Game Boy and Game Boy Color sold about 118.69 million units.

7 - Pager or Beep, Beep, Beep or Beeper

We could not ignore the famous Pagers, although in the 1990s they began to disappear due to the emergence of mobile phones, this small device was still widely used.

With basic functions and simple touches Pager was the one that preceded mobile phone technology.

Basically it served to send small text messages using a telecommunication network, it was widely used by businessmen and parents.

8 - Playstation aka PS1

The famous PlayStation, Sony's console was launched in 1994 in Japan and was a true revolution in the console universe.

With innovative graphics, more advanced games and a memory card to save progress, the PlayStation was a real hit.

Sony innovated in the 1990s and continues to innovate to this day with the PlayStation line that is now in version 5.

9 - PalmPilot

In the 1990s, technology was changing and breaking new ground, inserting itself even more into people's daily lives.

PalmPilot was a 90's technology that helped a lot to organize people's lives at the time.

It was possible to save contacts, make appointments, send messages and even make calculations, PalmPilot was almost a "smartphone" of the time, widely used in the 90s.

10 - Apple Launches iMac G3 - All in One Computers Arrive

The company created by Steve Jobs has always been a technology pioneer; The 1990s were extremely important to Apple.

In 1998, Apple launched the iMac G3, which was an All in One line of personal computers.

It was successful at the time due to its small size, had a 15 inch color monitor and the speakers were incorporated into the monitor itself.

11 - Floppy Disk

Before we had the USB sticks, CDs, DVDs, external hard drives and cloud, we had the famous floppy disks.

This small device was capable of storing a small amount of information, was widely used in the 1990s by many people.

Whether it's formatting a computer or saving that school assignment, you probably have already used one.

12 - Sony Discman

Before smartphones with Internet, Spotify and etc ... this is how people listened to music.

Discman was first released in 1984 by Sony to replace the Walkman.

By allowing mobility, the device was a success, even skipping a few songs a few times.

13 - Apple iBook

Launched on June 21, 1999, the Apple iBook was the first consumer notebook to have Wi-Fi connectivity.

It was very popular in the education industry, as many American schools started using Apple's iBook.

The line stayed until 2006 when Apple changed the line to the famous MacBooks we know today.
