SC-33/W6| Zero Cost Crafting

Today I am sharing with you all a little creative effort of mine in Week 6 of Steemit Challenge Season 33. This week's theme is Zero Cost Crafting, which aims to reuse things that are usually thrown away as useless in our homes.

I also tried to create a beautiful little colorful village/castle scene out of some simple and used things at home instead of wasting them. What I especially liked about this project was that it didn't require buying a lot of supplies, but a little effort and creative thinking created a beautiful scene.

Equipment used

Old piece of cardboard

Used toilet paper rolls

White paper

Step 1: Preparing the base

First I took a suitable piece of cardboard so that the entire craft scene can be easily built on it. Then, with the help of a compass, make a round shape on the paper and cut it carefully.

After coloring this round part I used it as the base of my craft.

Step 2: Coloring the base

In the next step, the round cardboard base was painted with the help of a brush. I chose a color that went well with the rest of the buildings and trees.

While painting, try to spread the color evenly over the entire surface. After that I let it dry for a while.

Step 3: Preparation of tiny houses

Now begins the most interesting part of my craft.

I used used paper rolls to make miniature houses. Put white colour on top of the rolls and make small doors at the bottom.

Made cone shapes for roofs of houses from colored paper and glued them on top of the rolls. Thus small beautiful houses were prepared.

Step 4: Making the tree

I used different colors of paper to make the tree. First they made the trunks of the trees and then they made their leaves in different shapes.

I kept the colors of the trees different so that the final scene looks brighter and more beautiful. Different colored trees give the craft a pleasant and natural feel.

Step 5: Connecting all the parts

When all the items were well prepared and dry, I placed them in order on the cardboard base and glued them together with glue.

Build houses first, then plant trees behind them. Finally added small decorative items to the spaces to make the whole scene feel complete.

Final result

In the end my simple cardboard craft turned into a beautiful little colorful scene. What pleased me the most was that something new could be created by reusing ordinary and used things.

This craft is not only an activity for me but also a small lesson that creativity doesn't always need expensive equipment.

If we look at the things around us from a different perspective, old cardboard, paper rolls and paper can also become part of a beautiful piece of art. 🌳🏠🎨

Yes, I really liked the topic of Zero Cost Crafting. The best thing about it is that it gives an opportunity to reuse things that are considered junk.

This activity gives us creativity as well as the idea of ​​saving things from waste.

This last week's activity taught me that beauty doesn't always come from buying something new. Sometimes an old piece in the house, an empty roll and some colored paper can turn into a beautiful creation with the help of our imagination.
