Arsenal 0-0 Liverpool
Ok, this was probably the most important game being played today. An Arsenal win, I think would have practically made them champions. At least they would have a huge lead. And in the first half they did seem eager to get the three points, they had a 60-40 possession and frankly played much better than Liverpool. Even though the one real chance in the first half was for Liverpool a confusion in the Arsenal defense gave Bradley the ball and he hit the crossbar. Arsenal, as far as I can remember had no real chances.
The second half was completely different, Liverpool had almost total control of the ball, but unfortunately were not able to take advantage of this. On the other hand it was nice seeing them play so well, but they did lack that final push. I still have problems with some of the decisions made by Premier League referees, not that they had anything to do with the goalless draw, but they just have a different rule application in some cases.
The game was not really as good as I thought it would be, but both teams did give what they could, I think all of that rain had something to do with the intensity not being so high. For Liverpool the draw is not so good as they needed a win, but it was an away game against probably the best team in the League. At least the draw leaves Arsenal still reachable, of course Manchester City and Aston Villa are closer. It will probably be a very intense finish to the League.
