The Diary Game: At My POS And Gas Shop (21/01/2026)

At my workplace today, this is my own little business spot where I make my daily living. You can see from the sign board 'Akan Gas and POS" . I run a gas shop and also a POS shop altogether. This is my pride and where I get my daily meal from. So if you are in Uyo, Abak Road precisely, you can pull up and support me.

A father and son came to the shop today to fill their gas, after I had finished filling their gas, the son wanted to carry the gas back home, the father told him to carry it for him to carry it. I was so proud of the little boy who offered to help his dad. They took their gas back home.

When they left, I packed the dirt I swept from my shop and went to the backyard and burned it then I came back inside to do some transactions. I needed to transfer money from my Sterling bank to my Opay machine so that I can use the Opay machine where the transaction is swifter than the other POS machines apart from the Moniepoint machine that was down.

I was still inside and then I sighted one man that was selling rubbers, I called him to come sell rubber for me, I am left with only one rubber at home because my daughter tried to fetch water and she mistakenly broke the other rubber. I bought two rubbers, one bowl and one bucket. I paid for it and went inside my shop.

When my daughter went back home from school, she called me using my neighbor's phone, I told her what to do and then she ended the call. I stayed back at the shop till it was time for me to go back. I still had customers that were coming even when I told them that I didn't have cash again for any transaction.

When I went back home, I warmed food and brought, me and my daughter ate and so I went outside to go and stay. I waited for my neighbor to pump water so that I could go and fetch, our own water had finished because there is no electricity to pump the water and our landlord does not want anyone to use his generator to pump the water.

When I came back from fetching the water, I told my daughter to wash her uniform and have her bath. When she finished, I took my bath and went inside, turned my small solar fan and began to write. It's a beautiful day and I am so grateful for that.
