The Diary Game: 11th July, 2026. An amazing day.
Hi my amazing family. It your girl Divinity here again. I hope you are all doing well. Welcome back to another entry in my daily diary game. I always enjoy taking a few minutes at the end of the day to reflect on how everything went, and today was one of those days that left me feeling really happy and grateful. Nothing too dramatic happened, but there were quite a few little moments that made my day special.
Last night, I slept quite late because I was working on a project. The funny thing about me is that it doesn't really matter what time I sleep, I still wake up very early. Once it's around 6 a.m. or even before, I'm already awake.
I honestly don't know why. Maybe I'm still living like my undergraduate self. Back then, I used to wake up very early to study before classes. Even though I've graduated, I think my body is still used to that routine, and I'm finding it hard to adjust.
As usual, I started my morning with prayers before getting ready for the day. I didn't have anywhere important to go since I mostly work from home, but I still wanted my space to feel fresh. I arranged my bed, and swept my room. There's something satisfying about starting the day in a clean environment.
For breakfast, I warmed up the leftover rice I made yesterday. It saved me the stress of cooking, and it tasted just as good.
One of the highlights of my day was celebrating someone who means a lot to me. Today, July 11th, is the birthday of one of my very good friends from my undergraduate days. He's like a big brother to me. We're not related by blood, but he has always been supportive and kind.
I gave him a WhatsApp video call to wish him a happy birthday, and we ended up talking for quite a while. It was really nice catching up with him. What made me smile even more was remembering that my own birthday is on July 12th. I'm already looking forward to it and thanking God for another year that's almost here.
Later in the day, I spent some time watching videos online, chatting with friends, and also spoke with one of my colleagues about a work project we needed to figure out together.
Then something funny happened. I decided to play Ludo game with my neigbour, but unfortunately, I accidentally stepped on the glass frame and broke it. I felt really bad because this is actually the second Ludo board I've broken. Trust me, it wasn't intentional. Since the playing board itself was still okay, I simply removed the broken glass and decided to keep using it that way. At least it can still serve its purpose.
In the evening, I prepared jollof spaghetti, and I was really happy with how it turned out. It was delicious and worth the effort.
Not long after that, I received a data entry task, so I sat down with my laptop once again and completed it before the day came to an end.
And now, let me share the happiest part of my day. When I checked my Steemit account today, I discovered that I had earned my very first $2 on the platform! It may seem like a small amount to some people, but to me, it means so much. Every journey starts somewhere, and seeing that reward encouraged me to keep showing up, keep writing, and keep learning.
Overall, today was a beautiful day. It wasn't perfect, but it was filled with meaningful moments, good conversations, a little laughter, productive work, and something worth celebrating.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my day.
SEE YOU IN MY NEXT DIARY POST
##PEACE & LOVE❤️
