The Diary Game: Saturday Grind And Buying Palm Oil 24-01-2026

Hello, ladies and gentlemen of steemit, it's your friend @joychi102 and I am here to share how my day went.

Something happened in the morning, I almost cried, a lady came and bought the entire oil we had, I don't know what she wanted to use it for, though it was actually a good thing but I wasn't ready to go to the palm oil market this week again after going there the previous Sunday. I told my husband that I wanted to finish measuring the pepper first before I decide to do anything.

It was so much stress in the shop because I was the only one in the shop. My kids told me they wanted to watch movie at home, they were so lucky that the electricity was restored because yesterday, we heard there was a national grid collapse and it affected the entire 36 states. I didn't want to bother them because I gave them an assignment to do when they were done watching the movie, I told them to clean up the house and wash the plates at home and they promised to do that.

When I finished measuring the pepper, I called my husband to come over to the shop so that I could go to the oil market and buy the oil on time and return back home on time as well. When my husband came back to the shop, I left and immediately went to the oil market, today, people weren't much like sunday's because they think it's sunday's that sellers do sell their oil at a discounted price, but since I saw what took me to the market, I bought it and went back home. It was about a three hours journey, to and fro.

When I came back to the shop, I stayed there and began to measure part of the oil into smaller bottles so that we can sell the oil in units. When I finished doing 20 bottles, I paused so that I could go get bread at the bakery. My husband couldn't go because no other person was in the shop.

I left the house and went to the bakery and bought these bread then I came back to the shop to drop them so that I could go back to the house to cook what we will be eating for dinner. After dropping the bread, I took spaghetti that I will need to prepare at home and returned back home.

When I got to the house, I met my kids struggling to do the tasks I gave to them before leaving the house in the morning. You mean since morning, these kids had been busy watching the television till this time of the day and I was so mad at them. I punished them and told them that they will not watch the television till next month. So, I went to the kitchen and prepared the spaghetti, I gave it to everyone and even my husband that came back home.
