The Dairy Game: Daily life update (26-04-2026)

on my way out to buy a few things
Like I said earlier, I stepped out to buy a few things, and when I came back, I was very thirsty and needed something really cold to drink. There was no light at home, so I couldn’t get anything chilled, and the only place with cold drinks uses solar power, which is quite far from my house. I had to trek all the way there just to get a drink. By the time I got back and drank it, I felt a bit refreshed. After that, I started washing my clothes and then went ahead to clean the toilet, which was part of my chores. By the time I finished, I was sweating a lot, so I had to take a shower. After showering, I ate my food and took my medication as usual. I still had a slight headache, so I decided to lie down and rest for a while. Not long after, I heard a knock on the door, and to my surprise, it was my aunt and her beautiful baby. She came to check up on me after hearing that I wasn’t feeling well, and that visit really lifted my mood.
My aunt came with so many lovely things and spoke to me with kind and beautiful words, which made me very happy and lifted my mood. I was really excited to see her and her beautiful baby. She even went to our farm to cut fresh waterleaf for me because she knows I like it, and that made me feel so special. We spent time together, just enjoying auntie-and-baby moments, laughing and having fun. I had a little stew in the fridge, so I boiled rice for us to eat, and we all ate and relaxed. After eating, we watched movies on my phone and enjoyed the quiet time together. She also helped me loosen my hair because it had become very full and I wanted to take it out. It felt good to finally get that done. Later in the day, she said she had to go back home because her husband had returned and called her. Even though I didn’t want her to leave, I understood. I followed her to the roadside, waited with her until she got a bike, and watched her leave. It was such a happy and refreshing visit for me.When I got back home, I remembered it was Thursday and I was supposed to go to church, but I really didn’t have the strength or energy, so I stayed in. I took a shower, went to my room, and lay on my bed to rest. Later, my sisters started asking what we would eat for dinner. The rice I made earlier was already finished, and there was nothing else available. I had planned to cook beans in the evening, but I didn’t have the strength to start picking and cooking it, so I decided to leave it till tomorrow. Instead, I went out to buy something quick and easy. My immediate sister wanted tea, so I got tea and bread for her, and I bought noodles for my last sister. For myself, I just had gala and a bottle of drink, since I needed something light before taking my evening medication. When I got back, I ate, took my drugs, and then rested a bit. After that, I picked up my diary and continued writing. That was how I spent the rest of my day. It wasn’t very active, but I’m grateful I made it through. Thanks for reading, and have a beautiful night’s rest.
