The Diary Game | Surviving in Today’s Nigeria (24 March 2026)
Good evening everyone,
This night,I just want to talk about life… the real kind of life we are all facing in today’s Nigeria.
Living in Nigeria right now is not easy.
Every day feels like a struggle—prices of food keep increasing, transportation is expensive, and even the little things we used to afford easily are now becoming luxuries.
Sometimes, you plan your day with hope, but reality quickly reminds you that things are not the way they used to be.
You wake up thinking about what to eat, how to manage money, and how to survive till the next day. For many of us, it’s no longer about living comfortably—it’s about just getting by.
The truth is, a lot of people are silently struggling.
Smiling outside, but carrying heavy worries inside.
Students are finding it hard to cope.
Families are trying their best to provide.
Young people are hustling day and night, yet it still feels like it’s not enough.
It can be tiring,
It can be frustrating.
And sometimes… it can feel hopeless.
But even in all of this, Nigerians are strong.
We adapt.
We hustle.
We find ways to survive, even when things don’t make sense.
So how do we keep going?
First, we learn to manage what we have, no matter how small.
We prioritize our needs and cut down on unnecessary spending.
Second, we support each other.
Sometimes, survival comes from community—friends, family, and even strangers helping in little ways.
Third, we stay hopeful.
Even when things are hard, hope is what keeps us moving forward.
And lastly, we keep pushing.
Because giving up is not an option.
Nigeria may be tough right now, but we are tougher. 🇳🇬
One day, things will get better.
Until then, we keep surviving… one day at a time.
Thank you for reading. 🤍
