The Diary Game: Fetching Water On The Well And Bad Day Because I Couldn't Make Sales Today 4/2/2026

One thing I don't really like about this place is that, it's really hard to drill borehole, this is the reality of the compound I am living right now, though the place is a beautiful place and very well fenced around but clean water keeps being an issue. And this well is not really safe because of kids that are running around in the compound. I went to the well to fetch water so that I can fill the drum and some bowl before going out.

We don't drink the water from the well, we drink sachet or bottled water. The water from the well is basically for washing of clothes, plates and cleaning and while the one inside is treated so that it can be safe for us to use and cook. When I finished fetching water the and drum was filled, I went to go and rest.

It's not easy to fetch well water and fill up everywhere, when I did so, I told my wife to just quickly fix small thing for me to eat and go to the shop. When she quickly fixed me something, I ate and then I bathed and dressed and went to work.

When I went to the shop, I went and stayed in the shop, but it seems today was a very dry day that even my customer that use to pull good number of customers didn't see any customer in the afternoon and evening. I even struggled to have one customer that came to buy cement, I sold and then I closed the shop and went back to the house.

When I got back to the house, I didn't want anything to disturb me, not even the sales I didn't have today because I know that some days are like that and nothing can be done about that. I took a chair and sat by the side of the house and rested, I didn't also want to go to my wife's shop so that I won't bother her.

When my wife came back home, she was shocked to see me at home before her, she asked why I returned back to the house early, I told her there was no sales today, she knew she shouldn't go farther than that because if there is no sales, we don contemplate on it, we just look forward to good days and live through the bad ones like today.

When she brought food to me, I ate the beans with porridge plantain and after eating, I took the plate inside and washed it then I bathed and came back to there I was sitting because fresh air was really hitting the place and I enjoyed it.

It was so much to live today and what keeps me going is my beautiful family and the grit to have a better life. When I finished, I just grabbed my phone and watched some skits online and within some time, I was beginning to feel okay before I decided to share my day, I will still go back to watching the skit again, I really need a good laugh today.
