SLC-S29/W1-“Thinking and Ideas!| If You Were in Charge!”
♥Assalamu alaikum♥
I am @boishakhi123, a member of the Steemit platform. I joined this platform to share my feelings and likes with this platform. Today I came up with a new post.
If you were given full authority for one year in your community or country, what is the first issue you would address?
---
If I were given full power for a year, I would first play a role in the protection and welfare of animals and birds. And this is only one reason why cruelty to livestock, birds and wildlife is increasing in our society. Illegal questions and transport inhumane trees, indifference to the roads of my management and hunting of wildlife are making these problems more serious.
Animals are not only resources, they are an important part of the balance of nature. And therefore, if their health and safety are not ensured, the environment, food system, and human life are also affected. Because we all know that they are a part of our environment. So, if I get power, I would first sit down and give the highest priority to protecting their rights.
Why did you choose this issue over others?
---
Many may think that why should we think about wild birds first, leaving aside human problems, but the reality is that humans, animals and nature are deeply connected to each other. If we think a little, we will understand that if livestock is sick, safe meat is not available, if birds decrease, crops are damaged, and if wildlife is destroyed, the balance in the environment is disturbed. So it is certain that taking care of animals means taking care of ourselves and doing good to them means doing good to ourselves.
Taking care of animals means not only being humane, it is ensuring a safe environment for future generations. So I think ensuring the protection of animals and animals means improving the quality of life of humans. Because they are directly related to our lifestyle, food and environment. And that is why I chose this issue before all other problems.
What is that one difficult decision you would have to make?
---
To be honest, when you want to do something good, there are obstacles everywhere and we all know this, but if I had to make the most difficult decision in this responsibility, I would take strict action against illegal animal trade, wildlife hunting and humane farming. Many times, influential individuals are involved in these activities and when we take action against them, political pressure, social obstacles and economic excuses come to the fore.
Still, I had to decide that cruelty to any animal will not be tolerated and this is a kind of inhumane act that people will not tolerate yet. Animal transport would be banned, licenses would be canceled, fines and legal punishments would be imposed, and at the same time, I would make it mandatory to maintain a healthy environment and minimum human standards in my projects.
How would you explain this decision to people who disagree with you?
---
In fact, there would be many who would oppose this decision, but I would try to convince those who would oppose this decision through this logic and awareness. I would say that animal protection is not a luxury, it is the identity of a civilized society and if we do not show kindness to animals, then in the future we will have to face environmental disasters. This will put everyone in danger. Because animals are a part of us.
And I would assure those who are following the right rules or who are animal lovers that these policies are not against them but for those who ignorantly accept animals and those who insult animals. Along with this, I would also convince the common people that it is our moral responsibility to be tolerant towards animals. The more people become aware, the more change will happen and above all, it is for our own benefit.
Finally, what I want to say. Ensuring the welfare of animals and birds means protecting nature and humanity, even if I had one year of power, I would have wanted to create a foundation so that animals would be safe in the future and people could live in a responsible society.
I want to invite my friends

Upvoted! Thank you for supporting witness @jswit.
Remarkable! I completely agree with you. In our (German) legal system, animals are still considered objects. According to the law, you are not allowed to deliberately torture an animal or keep it in (as defined) unacceptable conditions. But if you do, you are committing property damage. Animals do not have their own, legally recognized rights...
Would you go so far as to oblige an entire society to live vegetarian?
Hi @boishakhi123, welcome to thinking and ideas week 1
We neglect these animals so much that they begin to feel rejected, abandoned and abused. I feel so sorry for them each time I see one roaming round the street in a hungry state.
