Burnsteem25 || A day before Eid ul Azha 2022 || A Visual Story...
The hajj was celebrated yesterday all over the world. More than a million pilgrims were present in Makkah together all longing for the same goal, to have their prayers accepted.
Muslims have been gifted with two festivals every year:
Eid ul Fitr
Eid ul Azha
Eid ul Fitr was celebrated 2 months back, all day over the world. It's a gift from God to us in order to reward us for our efforts in the month of Ramadan, where we fast for 30 days straight.
Eid ul Azha, on the other hand is a different type of Eid. It is celebrated in the month of Zul hajj. On this festival we sacrifice some specific animals in the way of Allah. Millions of Muslims all over the world sacrifice millions of animals every year. It's the biggest charity festival of this world. There's billions of kgs of meat distributed amongst the poor and under privileged people on the occasion of Eid ul Azha.
The animals that are allowed for sacrifice are:
Cows
Bulls
Goats
Sheep
- Camels
In all the Muslim countries, as well as Non-Muslim countries, this Eid is celebrated every year. There are proper slaughter houses built where the sacrifice takes place. One might ask what's the meat worth to God? Well this question was answered by God himself in the Quran:
Here, in Pakistan, this Eid is celebrated with full might. With the animals being bought a month, a week, or a couple of days before the Eid day. There's a huge market set up in Karachi, one of the South Asia biggest Animal market. You can see animals being tied up on every street, every corner. The businemen set up their businesses in these days, with some people selling knives to some people selling animal feed. It's a different beautiful vibe. In this post I'll be showing you what's it like to have:
EID UL AZHA IN KARACHI
Thats all the pictures that I clicked today on my way to do some work. These are the beautiful creations of the God. Look how dramatic one of those cow is. She literally turnee away her face while I was trying to pet her and looked me from the corner of her eyes.
That's it from my side, I'll come back tomorrow to show you all how Eid day 1 looks like in Pakistan.
