New professors, new starters and the beloved Lechonk are what await Pokémon players this fall, as the company announced "Pokémon: Scarlet" and "Pokémon: Violet" will be released on Nov. 18.

The newest game in the Pokémon series will feature the ninth generation of Pokémon in the franchise, but it will be Pokémon's first RPG (role-playing game), coming off the heels of "Pokémon Legends: Arceus.""'Pokémon: Scarlet' and 'Pokémon: Violet' are the first RPGs in the Pokémon series. Along with series staples, such as trading and battling Pokémon, players will be able to explore the various locations of the region in these games with up to four players," the company said in a release.

Pokémon also released a 3-minute trailer of the game, showing off the first gameplay of the game, as well as new characters and Pokémon players will get to encounter.
