Tortilla Salad, The Best Salad I ever Ate
Happy spring! This time of year, all I want to eat are fresh, colorful,big salads.
Today I would like to present to you my favorite salad, it is not presented in a salad bowl but in a crispy tortilla! Personally, I love this concept of edible bowl! and also you can make any kind of salad you prefer into this bowl (Mexican salad, chicken salad, beef salad, vegan salad…..)
So now you will not wash your dish salad after eating !
Let's started;
Ingredients
For 2 people :
2 tortillas
1 cup cubed cucumber
1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
1cup tuna
1cup finely chopped pepper
1cup finely chopped red onion
1cup cubed cooked Shrimp (boiled or grilled)
1 cup cooked rice
1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/2 cubed peeled avocado
6 cherry tomatoes
30 g of feta or any cheese you like
Some Corn seeds
for seasoning:
Lime juice
Salt, pepper
Directions:
Step1
Warm tortillas slightly until pliable. Spray both sides with cooking spray, Press tortillas in bowls. Place bowls in 15x10x1-inch pan. Bake 5 to 7 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Remove tortillas from bowls; place upside down on cooling rack. Cool completely.
(Personnaly I like to fry them)
Step 2
In a large bowl, mix 1-tablespoon lime juice and the avocado then add the rest of the ingredients, season with salt and pepper to taste,Mix well.
Step3
To serve, spoon the salad into tortilla bowls. (Bowls will be full.) Serve immediately garnished with tomatoes and olives.
Seriously.
This salad is the holy grail of salads. It tastes amazing and it is highly nutritious.
