Tragedy in response to the European Union's (EU) counterterrorism duty on US merchandise now threatens to impose 20 percent tax on imported cars from Europe.
In response to the 10 and 25 percent tax paid by the United States in Aluminum and Steel, the EU has set 25 to 50 percent counter tariffs on a variety of products including whiskey, motorbike, shoes, a few types of clothes, washing machines and orange juice. It has been effective since Friday.
