Trip to Titletown, USA (Lambeau Field in Green Bay, WI)
My fiance and I had the chance to go up to Green Bay, WI to see the Packers during the opening week of the NFL season this year as they played the Seattle Seahawks!!
Just in case you didn't know, the Packers have won 13 NFL championships in their history, are the third-oldest NFL franchise and are owned by the people through the sale of shares in the team in the form of stock. In fact, I own 1 share of Packer stock, making me a part-owner.
All of these facts and more unequivocally mean that the Green Bay Packers are the single greatest professional sports franchise on the planet! (Ok, so maybe I'm a little biased...)
But I digress.
We got to go to the game, because my fiance's sister had scored 4 tickets from a friend at work. They were great seats too.

It was a beautiful day out and we tailgated before the game amongst people with much more serious setups than we had. We only brought a couple cases of beer, but some people had trailers that were devoted to tailgating, with TV's on the outside, built in grills, etc. Lambeau was visible across the street!
Legendary Lambeau Field
I had been to a couple games before, but not since some of the renovations had been completed. The inside of the new atrium fed people into the stadium. We even got towels that were given out to commemorate Kickoff Weekend. We got to our seats in time to see the National Anthem and the military flyover (Murrica!).

After a slow half that ended with the Seahawks up 3-0, our (I can say "our", because remember I'm an owner) offense started to come alive. The game ended in victory with a final score of Green Bay 17, Seattle 9. It's always satisfying to beat Seattle (especially after a particularly horrible playoff game a couple years ago...).
During the second half we got some pretty gut-busting food from the concession stands. It was called a "Lambowl" and had tater tots, brats, hot dogs and jalapeno peppers covered in nacho cheese!
The Lambowl (with a Miller Lite!)
All in all a pretty amazing Sunday that I won't soon forget :)
