The adventure continues: Bryce Canyon one of my favorite parks
Yellowstone finish, finished cool temperatures. Place to heat, sand and decrease vegetation. For me we are entering a turning point of our trip!
From Yellowstone to Brice Canyon there is about 10h drive. So we choose to cut it in 2. This allows us to take care of food in living, sleeping in motel and make a little getaway ...
Bryce Canyon
Yes we are very interested in a scenic view well noted by the backpacker. It's the scenic view 12 through the Burr trail. We find ourselves navigating between red and beige valleys and then squarely in a canyon. Impressive!
The hardest now to find shade to eat, but fortunately at the bottom of the valley is still a little green.
Funny thing we got a storm in the middle of the desert ...
La scenic view 12
Arriving at Bryce Canyon is still early so we get ready to be present at sunrise! But the weather has played us a trick ... there is a cloud that decides to stall in the sun race. So nothing ... But even without it the view is beautiful, full of Hoodoos (column) red, pink, beige ... Then finally the cloud leaves and it reveals the beauty of the site. We stay there a good time ... to contemplate this magnificent view, this beauty of nature!
We're waking up! Rando where we go down in the valley. We find ourselves at the foot of Hoodoos. It's gigantic, we go through stone doors. And the ascent is done in a kind of hoodoos canyon. It rises steeply.
At the foot of these Hoodoos
With a little greenery in the middle
What is Hoodoos?
Also called fairy chimney, it is a large column made of friable rock and therefore wears with time! But to have this aspect the top of the column must be composed of a solid rock that withstands the weather repeatedly!
Direction Zion, we go through the RedRocks. At Zion we arrive ... next to the next article!
The photos are personal!
Great picks, @suitcasemama and I love Bryce. Enjoy Zion! Check out the Angel's Landing hike if you're up for an adventure, otherwise, The Narrows hike is fun too! :)
Thank you @eoj . We wanted to do the hikes you said but I could not do them (pregnant) it was too much for me. But we thought that one day we would go do them!
You can always go back when the kiddos are bigger! :)
I hope ! It will be a great adventure!
