3 Countries and 15 hours later... We made it to Guatemala!
I was so excited about this trip that I didn’t get any sleep prior to my 9:15am flight.
Being exhausted was my sure bet to get rest on the first flight to Mexico City which was a 5 hour ride.
Mexico City
The flight was quite nice, slept for about half the trip. We flew with Aero Mexico which was a fantastic airline.
Grabbed some Mexican food on our 2 hour lay over. These beef tacos with fried onions and spinach were super decilious! The sauces missing from the photo made them so tasty.
Then we were off again... on to our next flight which was about 2 hours. Even though it wasn’t that bad of a day for traveling all day, we were beat.
Please no judgement on this photo of us... lol
Guatemala City
At last we made it... well not quite but to the country destination. We still had to take an hour car ride to Antigua.
Quiet a massive place as like Mexico City and we don’t know what to expect!
Wish us luck! :)
After getting our luggage and setting up our transportation, we were on our way to Antigua to settle down finally for the day.
For known as such a rough place, Guatemala City looked surprisingly clean and new. Here is one photo I got on the road.
Antigua
After about an hour drive we turned into the streets of Antigua. Which were much narrrower, cobble stoned, and just a quant looking city.
This is where I will be for the next few days and it has a ton to offer. Tomorrow I will have the much needed day light photos, so you can start to appreciate the look of the city and country.
We ended off the night by grabbing some tacos(of course) at this awesome restaurant right beside our hotel.
It is called Ta’cool which I believe is a local chain restaurant as we saw another one on the map earlier.
They were incredible!!
As usual those sauces made the tacos so good. Guacamole and Chipotle is what I mainly used.
It is safe to say... We will be dining here a few more times during our stay!
That was it for today. Coming tomorrow I’ll have many more pictures of the city and during the day.
You can also see my video below on my play by play during the trip and a view of our room we’re staying at.
Until tomorrow Steemit! Thanks to eveyone for all your support! I will do my best to get back to all of you when I can and visiting your blog.
