Rouen is famous for its winding old streets and picturesque houses, sights of the Middle Ages and the modern era, Gothic architecture and the incredible cathedral that inspired Monet.

The height of the Rouen Cathedral is 151 meters. The architecture of the temple made a strong impression on the artist K. Monet, who created a series of paintings dedicated to the Cathedral.

The large clock of Rouen looks luxurious and works even in spite of its venerable age, which goes back several centuries.

In fact, in Rouen there were two towers associated with the name of the national heroine Jeanne-d’Arc. One of them, in which Jeanne was really held in captivity, was destroyed, and now you can't even see the surviving Foundation.

In the Middle ages Rouen is famous for its forged products. Nowadays, the products of the Rouen blacksmiths are kept in the Museum of Le Sec de Tournel. It collected more than twelve thousand exhibits that were created from III to XIX century.
