@rinawonderlans Asian Sunday entry:

I woke up to see a sunrise,and luckily there is also a little rainbow over the sky, which is rare to see here. It's beautiful eventhought it's not a full one. The colorful sky, give a reflection color to the sea and sand. I took this pretty picture in Candidasa beach, a relaxed spot on the east Bali where you could snorkel.

@vinceboisgard Australian Monday entry:

Queenstown is a cute little town located on the south island of New Zealand. It build on the raffle of a gigantic lake and surrounded by the mountains. Here is a capture I shot while wandering around the lake. This man was sitting on the small pierre, chilling by the water under the branches of the tree. I wasn't going to Disturbed, so I waited patiently for him to stand up and leave!

@intrepidphotos Tuesday of Antarctica and world´s oceans entry:

Sometimes, if only for a moment, time seems to stand still. It’s amazing to think that 91% of the iceberg is hidden under the water. Iceberg floating of the coast of South East Alaska. It’s a single hand held exposure taken from a moving boat.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday #19 – winner announcement!

@mibreit-photo African Wednesday entry:

This is maybe the most photographed rock on La Digue. It looks like the back of an ancient animal in the sand of Anse Source D'Argent. It was really peaceful there in the evening when most of the day visitors left and people went off for dinner. If you don't fear the huge crabs that roam the beach and rocks after sunset, it's worth to stay :-)

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – European Thursday #19 – winner announcement!

@itchyfeetdonica EuropeanThursday entry:

I shot this one in the village of Kinderdijk in the south of the Netherlands. This place is best known for its 19 iconic 18th-century windmills. I waited till sunset when everything was closed, and this beautiful waterway and the windmills were bathing in the golden rays.

Last Friday, I decided to drive to Elysian Park near downtown Los Angeles to take a photo on the 110 Overpass. This is a pretty well known spot in the city to get a great sunset view of the city. It definitely did not disappoint. All I needed for the shot was traffic, and this city has plenty of that!

Amazing shot Matt!

I was photographing the wedding of rock climbers, Jaclyn and Eric. We are fortunate to live close to Yosemite National Park and world class climbing. We did the easy hike out to Taft Point which overlooks all of Yosemite Valley. The whole valley transformed as the sun dipped low and lit up the river below. Jaclyn and Eric braved a shot on the ledge.

You deserve to win buddy! What a great image!!! Have a great weekend:)

Thank you Sebastian! I just checked out your skiing post and your shots are insanely beautiful!

Magical. I love the colors and the contrast between the rocks in the foreground and the soft scenery in the background.

Thank you so much Edward! This short easy hike is such a gift as there is little effort for such an epic reward!

Wow! Thant truly is an amazing image. Thank you for sharing with all of us! Tomas

Thank you Tomas! It's so nice of you to host these contests! I've really gotten to know some great photographer's because of you! And it's also so great to see everybody's locations. It's constantly adding to my travel list.

This photo is from 2009 when I was travelling the amazing landscapes in Southwestern US with my parents. Monument Valley certainly was one of the most amazing parts of this trip; the campground we were staying at with our RV offered a magnificent view over the rocky landscape.

Fabulous as always! Thank you for sharing with all of us. Tomas

I have wanted to explore Monument Valley for so long! I was recently watching some vloggers talking about their drive through it, I wonder if this is the same drive. Did you have to get a permit to drive this road? The colors you got are so rich, and I love how you composed the shot!

We had an RV at the time, so we did not drive ourselves on the dirt road but booked a tour with a jeep. The landscape is really amazing!

Thanks for the info! I would love to see more of your RV travels. I'm gearing up to do the same in a little 18 footer!

Travelling with an RV is amazing in the US and Canada, the roads and are wide and there are beautiful national park campgrounds that are perfect for RVs! And the landscape is so beautiful!

A photo back from when I started with landscape photography. My first real photo trip was to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. I especially liked the area around Yaki Point, which is where I took this photo. It's a great viewpoint for sunrise photography and here I was lucky to get a break in the clouds just as the sun appeared over the horizon.

Great photo as always. Thanks for sharing. Happy weekend:)

Beautiful but that does not come as a surpise! Have a great weeknd. Tomas

I was out shooting birds and landscapes for over 3 hours in the freezing temperatures of Northfield, Minnesota. After the sun had set -- from my perspective -- I decided to get out my drone to see if there were any more photo opportunities. I'm glad I did.

My entry for North America!

I caught the sunrise over Lake Huron in Oscoda, Michigan while we were driving south along the lakeshore early one morning. We found a small marina & beach to pull into just before the sun rose over the cloud-line that was over the lake (looks like a distant mountain range in the pic!). The beach had these fantastic ice formations & bubbles caused by the gentle waves of the lake. The fog over the water was mystical and was the cherry on top of this whole scene. It was a frigid 5 degrees and my hands were frozen, but the shots I got were worth it!

Today’s photo is from state of Arizona. Colorado River created a few of natural gems and Horseshoe Bend is one of them. When you are standing at the edge (if you dare), you see how 300 meters vertical drop looks like.

The natural wonder caught at its best!

Thanks, glad you like it!

Crater Lake is Ameria's deepest lake, with a depth of about 1943 feet, and one of the most beautiful. I visited over Oregon over the summer with my family and we made the trip up the mountain to see it in all of its beauty.

After my Dad retired they visited us in Texas, I took them for a 2 weeks road road trip to Miami, Florida. This photograph was taken at South Miami beach, I was lucky enough to capture the first lights of the day ! An unforgettable sunrise.

Vancouver, British Columbia. I was fortunate to visit the viewpoint on Cypress Mountain on a foggy October morning outside Vancouver. The lookout provides an excellent view of the city and the bridges.
