Marialva - Castelo de Marialva / Riding Portugal

Today I'm going to recount another episode from my visit to Marialva.
When I arrived back at the highest point of Marialva, where the castle dominates the landscape, I already knew more or less what to expect outside. What I didn't expect was to find the gates closed. There wasn't much drama at the moment. I continued walking around the walls, observing the stones, as my daughter says, we've spent our lives looking at stones :) one day she will remember these moments fondly, although for her, for now, they remain just stones. Further on, besides the stones, I also observed the uneven paths and the open view over the village. Only later, back home, did I truly understand what I had left to see.
