Everything what you need to know about Underground River - Palawan, Phillipines
Hey Steemit Friends,
I am currently in the Philippines. The Philippines has more than 7641 Islands.
Last year I was in the Philippines, but then it did not affect me in a positive direction.
I just tried it again. I am on the island of Palawan ... and it is very sympathetic here.
What was surprising to me was that the streets were very clean compared to other major Asian cities.
People are friendly helpful. One of the biggest attractions on the island of Palawan is the Underground River.
It's really a wonderful place.
There are many ways to see the Underground River: Either you are a member of an official tour and pay twice the price, but you do not have to worry about anything. Or you rent a car, motor or you go with Shuttle bus.
From Puerto Princesa you can drive to Sabang. You have to buy an overpriced "permit" with the presentation of the passport. You also have to pay an additional processing fee. After the drive to the Underground River you have to pay once again an environmental fee, then a port tax and then again the cost of the boat.
With this 8-man boat you drive then about 20 minutes to the entrance of the Underground River. A short walk of 5 minutes and you will be relocated to smaller boats. The tour through the caves takes about 30 minutes. An audio guide is included. Although the information is good, but rather I listen to the animal sounds.
You can get a blue certificate that entitles you to enter the national park. That's cost 500 peso. So you can save a little bit money.
I hope this article was useful. See you the next time
