We actually went to visit my partner's cousin and her partner - they've settled on a lovely smallholding there (with a view of the ocean if you stand in the right place), and indeed, the whole place is magical, if incredibly sleepy out of season. Being in Joburg we get a surprising amount of nature walking into the house, but in that part of the world, it's just bigger and greener and yummier. Nuff said.
