La Llovizna: a backwater in a collapsed city
I had the good fortune to visit Puerto Ordaz, a city located in the Bolívar state, planned to boost the development of southern Venezuela, due to the amount of regional resources available on its land: iron, gold , diamonds, bauxite and manganese, among others. It should be noted that, because it is located near the largest rivers in the country, it houses the main hydroelectric plants in Venezuela: Macagua, Tocoma and Simón Bolívar, also called Represa del Guri, which are responsible for generating electricity for all of Ciudad Guayana and supplying electric power to a large part of the national territory.
The mining activity has turned Puerto Ordaz into a small modern city, with great commercial and business movement, which makes it very convulsed, like any metropolis; but it has a natural attraction that captivates its visitors and serves as a backwater in this busy city: the National Park "La LLovizna"; in this space you will experience emotions and sensations on the skin; You can feel full to appreciate this natural wonder, recreate and also have an encounter with yourself to reflect, causing in you a great satisfaction an unforgettable memory.

In this park you will have the opportunity to admire the imposing "La Llovizna" waterfall, a cascade with a height of approximately 20 meters, which precipitates abruptly on thousand-year-old rocks, whose impact generates a light drizzle that caresses the face of the people who admire it, provoking a sensation of indescribable relax; In addition, you can have contact with the fauna and flora that inhabit there, as well as access to walkways, cycle ways, islands, lagoons and extensive green areas, ideal for outdoor recreation and practice some sports or hobbies or simply make a Picnic with family or friends.

If you want to appreciate this wonder up close; You can take the catamaran "Puertorinoco", whose port of embarkation is located in the Club Náutico, located on Guayana Avenue, Castillito sector, Puerto Ordaz. In this club you must pay a fee to have access to its facilities. Tour tickets are paid directly at the "Casa Bote" (boarding site), also, here you can buy a snack combo to take on board, issued by the tour organizers and, when you return, you will have the option to taste a Lau Lau, exquisite Orinoco fish, typical dish of the area.

Onboard the Catamaran you will spend a very pleasant time, because the guides are very attentive; they give you a description of each attraction you observe during the tour of the Caroní River; while they tell you a beautiful legend. In this walk, you can admire the spectacular confluence between the two rivers (Orinoco and Caroní), as well as the Salto "Cachamay, the bridges that connect the city of Puerto Ordaz with San Felix, as well as the export ports of minerals and in case outside, they also offer you the opportunity to bathe for about twenty minutes on a spectacular bank of the Caroní River.
