I love history and old buildings and was looking at the photo with the castle on top. It is amazing it is still standing as on the one side the ground looks as though it has eroded away or is that meant to be like that?Great photographs and very interesting.

Yes, that is unusual. My guess is, since the bulk of the village is located behind the mountain spur, the spire has been built so tall to prevent the sound of the bells from being trapped in the valley. Look at the aerial footage in the video; the sound needs to clear the buildings to have a chance to bounce off the opposite mountains.

Dieses Ensemble mit Kirche, Tunnelportal und Burg sieht tatsächlich aus wie aus einer Modelleisenbahn!

Cooles Detail an dem Dörflein ist der Fußballplatz, der aus (vermutlich platztechnischen Gründen) auf einem Hügel errichtet wurde :D
Der Fußballplatz wurde auf dem Hügel errichtet, um dem Himmel näher zu sein. Pfälzer Fußballer brauchen alle Hilfe, die sie nur kriegen können, weil sie gerne mal ihre Beine verwechseln. ;-)
