Attractions of Dalat: #22 Dalat Flower Festival.

The Dalat Flower Festival or Festival Hoa Dalat to give it its Vietnamese name is held every other year and is a huge event for the people of this mountainous city. Dalat and the surrounding area is famous for growing flowers. The temperate climate lends itself to different kinds of horticulture to the rest of the country. This is the growers’ chance to show off their produce.

The next Flower Festival will be held in December 2019 and as usual visitors will travel here from all over the country and beyond. It is a great celebration and one which promotes the main industry of the city to its fullest.

When Vietnam puts this kind of a show on, it really does push the boat out. Floats and tableaux are incredibly intricate and it’s hard to believe that they are a temporary display. The displays are incredibly well thought out and diverse in their execution. The people of Dalat are very proud of their flower growing tradition and the nature of the Vietnamese is one of flamboyance. This si their chance to show off. It is well worth the visit.
