Temple of the Tooth Relic
The Sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple and located in the heart of Hill city of Kandy, Sri Lanka, alongside the magnificent Kandy Lake.

It houses the relic of the tooth of the Lord Budhdha. This is the highest venerated religious place with soaked in cultural heritage drawing the highest respect of the Buddhists as well as the other religions all over the world.

Daily worships to the Tooth relic is performed by the Bikkhus of the two chapters of Mawatte and Asgiriya. Rituals are done three times daily: at dawn, at noon and in the evenings.
This beautiful magnificent temple was built by late King Vimaladharmasooriya 1st in 1592 AD.
