The United States in January - Last Part: Alcatraz Prison

The last part of the trip. The Alcatraz Penitentiary. The island has an interesting history. Most of it I was already familiar with, but I still learned a lot more on the guided tour. They give you headphones, and a recording guides you through the prison. The recording explains everything from the famous prison break to what kinds of meals the prisoners ate. If you have the chance to visit Alcatraz, I would definitely recommend it. If you don't, I'd still recommend reading about its history. And after familiarizing yourself with the location you obviously have to see The Rock again.
